Dennis Panars, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, EDAC made newest partner at well-known architecture firm, Knit, a 35-year old regional architecture and design firm.

Knit announced the promotion of experienced architect Dennis Panars, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, EDAC to Partner. The announcement was made by Knit (formally known as SHARCHITECTURE) President and CEO Eric M Roberts, AIA.

“Working with an architect who is driven toward excellence like Dennis is, improves the culture and atmosphere of our offices and teams. He has an incredible ability to care deeply and personally for those that he works with, as well as the communities we work in as a firm.” said Roberts, “He brings a tireless passion to the craft of transforming communities through architecture. Adding his name to our letterhead underscores his commitment to this firm and the community that he has helped us knit together.”

Since joining the firm in 2012, Panars has been integral to the growth of the firm’s higher education, health science and medical portfolios. He has led several successful projects, including the Boulder City Hospital Expansion, Multiple UNLV renovation projects, various remodels at North Vista Hospital, and more recently, College of Southern Nevada Health & Sciences Building. In addition to his work in the office, Panars has recently taken to designing and fabricating various vehicle retrofits. His current project, alongside his wife, includes a complete remodel of a 20-year old 1-ton van into a dynamic mobile housing unit complete with kitchen and solar shower.  This embodies the firm’s focus on experienced hands-on architects.

Panars holds a Master’s degree from UNLV and a Bachelor of Science from the A. Alfred Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan.  He is also involved with the American Institute for Architects and currently holds the NCARB Licensing Advisory position for the State of Nevada. Dennis and Jeni, his wife of seven years, have a great dog named Clark and are avid travelers.
